I've spent way too much money on the Sims 3 for it to just break on me :')ĮDIT: I've recently discovered that it seems as though the games don't show up in firewall or at least Medieval doesn't. I'm so confused how this problem even begun but all I want to do is play my game again. I made no changes at all to my computer in the 5 hours after I closed the game, as I wasn't even home. I'm hoping someone here can offer a different kind of solution maybe? I've downloaded multiple programs recommended by EA support to 'clean' my computer or 'fully uninstall' my programs, and those haven't worked either. A problem with the launchers is what it must be, but a fix? Almost every troubleshooting option possible I've tried. The fact that medieval is also screwing up means that its not an origin issue or a disc issue (I play Sims 3 through Origin and Medieval through disc), it's not an internet issue in that case either, so I have no clue what it could be. It's gotten to the point where they've just started offering me coupon codes to tide me over because they can't seem to fix my issue either.

Basically they've sent me 3 emails with a full list of different troubleshooting solutions that haven't worked. I can try and list all the ones I've tried out but I'm not even sure it would fit in the post. I've been on EA chat support daily since then and I've tried every solution they've given me with no help. They both pop up in my processes menu on task manager for about a second and then disappear. I thought to try it another day and see if it would work, but in the meantime I decided to try Medieval, only to find that not working either? I would click the icon, there would be no 'not responding' error but it just wouldn't open. As soon as I click on the icon in either origin or my desktop, I get an instant error message of "Sims3Launcher is not responding". Since then, The Sims 3 hasn't launched at all. I thought "that's a bit weird since I haven't touched it or my computer", so I restarted my computer thinking it would solve the problem. I've been trying to solve this problem daily since the 30th of April, and I just want it fixed.īasically, I played the Sims 3 before a work shift at about 12pm, and when I came home after that work shift (I hadn't shut down or restarted my computer) at about 7pm I went to relaunch the game, only for it to come up with an error through origin about it being unable to launch or something. Hoping someone here can help me because I'm going insane, thank you! It's quite long to simply show the extent of the problem I've had. I'm copy pasting what I've posted on the EA help forums where I received no reply. Hey guys- just made an account on this forum, I'm more than desperate to get this issue fixed.
